Dr. Jamie Jetzer, D.C. is a passionate and dedicated chiropractor at Houston Spine & Rehabilitation Centers, known for his thoughtful, patient-focused approach to rehabilitation and movement-based care. Originally from Switzerland, Dr. Jetzer brings a disciplined approach to his work, with a strong emphasis on precision, attention to detail, and individualized care. A lifelong athlete, he understands the physical demands placed on the body and believes chiropractic care should never feel rushed or one-size-fits-all.
Education & Training
Dr. Jetzer earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College, where he graduated valedictorian. His training emphasized orthopedic and neurological evaluation, diagnostic testing, manual therapy, physical medicine, and rehabilitation-based chiropractic care. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Houston, building a strong foundation in health sciences and human movement.
During his chiropractic internship, Dr. Jetzer trained at Houston Spine & Rehabilitation Centers under the mentorship of Dr. Mark Yezak, Founder and Clinical Director of HSRC. This experience helped shape his diagnostic-first, results-driven philosophy and reinforced the importance of identifying the root cause of pain rather than simply addressing symptoms.
Clinical Experience
Dr. Jetzer treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, postural dysfunction, and movement-related limitations. His clinical focus centers on restoring joint function, improving soft tissue mobility, and correcting movement patterns that contribute to pain.
As both a clinician and athlete, he integrates rehabilitative and corrective exercise strategies as part of a holistic approach that addresses movement, strength, and long-term function rather than isolated symptoms.
Specialties & Approach
Dr. Jetzer’s training and experience have shaped a calm, intentional approach to care. He takes time to listen, explain findings clearly, and select techniques based on each patient’s individual needs and goals.
He has specialized training in dry needling and utilizes muscle release techniques, instrument-assisted adjustments, and flexion-distraction therapy when appropriate. He works with a broad range of patients, including athletes of all levels—from recreational exercisers to strength athletes and bodybuilders—as well as professionals, parents, seniors, and individuals managing long-standing musculoskeletal issues. His goal is not just symptom relief, but helping patients move better, feel stronger, and understand their care through a holistic, patient-centered model.
Beyond the Clinic
Dr. Jetzer is fluent in English, German, and Swiss German. Outside the clinic, he enjoys weight lifting, following Formula 1, and spending time on the lake with his family, reflecting his appreciation for performance, movement, and meaningful time outdoors.
